Buna CB 550 (former Taktene? 550) Lithium Butadiene Rubber. The rubber is protected by a stabiliser system which is in chemical compliance with the FDA regulation §177.1640, the recommendation VI of the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment and the Commission Directive 2002/72/EC respectively its further amendments including 2004/19/EC. |

| Use |
| Buna CB 550 is used for the production of ABS and HIPS. For HIPS it is used either alone or in blend with Buna CB 565 T or with SB-Polymers to achieve polystyrene with improved surface gloss. In blends with Buna CB 530 T it is possible to attain an improved stress cracking resistance. |
| Solubility |
| Buna CB 550 rubber is soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons, styrene, toluene, tetrahydrofurane, methylene chloride, 1,1,1-trichloroethane and cyclohexane, and is insoluble in alcohols and water. |
